This is the only attempt at a connected account of the 150 years of French dominion over Northern Vermont and New York. It is important as the earliest history of the two states as well as the Province of Quebec. A Biographical Index has been added to the original 1938 editionwhich lists added data for each person listed: date of birth or baptism, date of marriage, name and ancestry of spouse, date of death, etc. with additional refferences to events in that person's life.
