| The CD-ROM Edition of The Ennist Genealogy consists of 122pages; plus, an additional 29 pages dedicated to its source citations as a separate entity; thus, giving a total of 151 pages. It is completely indexed. This genealogy starts with the immigrant and traces the family down to its current members. While the book is not exhaustive in its coverage of the family, it does include 978 connected members; plus, a fair number of people with this surname who could not be explicitly connected. Thus, the book covers 12 generations; starting with the Battle of Dunbar, which was fought in Scotland on 3 September 1650. This edition benefits from the recent research by Dr. William B. Saxbe, Jr., which caused the chapter on the first generation to be completely rewritten, and gives an improved understanding of the second generation. In addition, the 8 known errors in the original edition have been corrected; |
